Landscape of Lost Dreams

'City of Lost Dreams' - Digital Media - George Roberts - November 2018
" In the 'Landscape of Lost Dreams' tears fall unseen, lost casually between shuttered hearts and closed minds. So why not fake it, stake it, shake it or rape it, after all its only dirt? - Architecture - cultural symbol and work of art.

Joe Roberts Printing Press Mark 3

Just completed the Joe Roberts approved Printing Press Mark 3 in the Cabine du Jardin Deux.
" Anyone would think I'm anticipating a dystopian future where rogue old age pensioners, who have strayed off piste and away from day time TV,  print 'news sheets' in their sheds to get the truth out  there! - Old Etonians, fascists and other assorted bastards ignore 'sheds' at your peril".

The Little Marrow

The Little Marrow that wouldn’t be stuffed – A fairy story for our time.

Once upon a time there was a little marrow
Who lived by the sea in a wonderful garden of vegetables
The Sun shone and the seagulls cried with joy
For all was as it should be in a bountiful summer land of plenty
But sadly we are told - and with true deference to ‘common sense’ and ‘patriotism’
“All good things must end”
So when autumn came some wanted to share the harvest.
And some didn’t !
“There’s enough for everyone” said the little marrow
But those who didn’t want to share said “ Little marrow we are going to stuff you”
And they cut him from the plant - took him to the kitchen and tried to slice him - literally to the marrow.
First the knife cut him in half and then once again
But try as they might they couldn't stuff him.
For the marrow had particularly thick skin and remained resolutely unstuffed.

Yellow Submarine

Yellow Submarine - Multi Media - October 2018 - George Roberts
"Life on land probably began in inter-tidal pools.
The first colour seen by a primordial eye probably was blue, the sky above
All long ago before photosynthesis gave the planet 'green'
Nothing remotely delivered in seven days
4.5 billion years in the making
A sentient world
Life capable of  managing its own environment, curiosity, kindness, love and selflessness.
Incredible and unique in the Universe as far as we know.
From Ape-man to Space-man in 400,000 years
Space-man to Ape -man seemingly takes no time at all.
All accomplished in the wink of an eye". An old man - sick of bullshit.

Steve Dongles Top 100 Trees:- No 7 Araucaria araucana

Araucaria araucana - The Monkey Puzzle Tree - with a suitably puzzled monkey - a confused Rhesus macaque
Araucaria araucana (commonly called the monkey puzzle treemonkey tail tree, or Chilean pine) is an evergreen tree growing to 1–1.5 m (3–5 ft) in diameter and 30–40 m (100–130 ft) in height. It is native to central and southern Chile, western Argentina. Araucaria araucana is the hardiest species in the conifer genus Araucaria. Because of the longevity of this species, it is described as a living fossil. It is also the national tree of Chile. - Credit Wikipedia

"By the choices we make each and everyone affects our fantastic environment. We can make decisions that are good and environmentally benign or ones that are bad and ecologically damaging. Every breach you make, every frack or quake and all the piss you take, I'll be watching you". - Steve Dongle; Eco-warrior, environmental activist and compiler of the Waveney Gazette's Top 100 Trees.
