Bushey Eel Fish

'Bushey Eel Fish' by Jasmine Roberts - Scraper board - August 2018
" Hertfordshire based artist and pianist Jasmine Roberts made this brilliant image for Mrs. Anita Roberts, Suffolk"

'Love is'

'Yellow Sun Flowers and Roses in a Blue Vase' - August 29-2018 - Digital Media - George Roberts

'Love is' follows a hyperbolic curve

One look
Many kisses
Nine proposals
Making children
Triumphs and disasters
Wiping finger marks off glass surfaces
Laughing when I fart in bed - even when it smells
Not telling me to go when I piss and miss in the lavatory
Being a Cordon Bleu cook, a 24-7 laundress and up for fun on rainy days
Not losing the plot when I adamantly refuse to wear my hearing aid for no real reason
Having to repeat yourself over and over again ad infinitum because I’m deaf or just not listening
Not killing me when I forget to move the clean washing from the radiator in the kitchen before cooking garlic
Doing labour intensive jobs I don’t like and pretend to be crap at so I can spend more time fannying about on computers

Lakeland Triptych

'Lakeland Triptych' - Digital media - George Roberts - August 2018
'Hammerin' it Down' by George Roberts

Drip, drip, drip
Drip, drip, drop
Will this rainfall ever stop?

H2O eroding igneous and sedimentary rocks
Soaking my underwear and all terrain socks

Drip, drip, drip
Drip, drip, drop
Will this downpour ever stop?

Rainy damp days become rainy wet weeks
Swell fast flowing rivers, rills and creeks

Dripping, dripping, dripping
Dropping, dropping, dropping
Whilst we go walking, sailing and shopping

Drip, drip, drip
Drip, drip, drop
Will this soaking ever stop?

Does it ever stop raining here?
Whilst awake or asleep
I truly feel sorry for Lakeland sheep

Burr in the Lake District

Burr - George Roberts - August 2018 - mixed digital media

" I wandered lonely as a cloud. That floats on high o'er vales and hills, when all at once I cried out loud, concussed by a burred and aged tree, that stood in my way and I failed to see."

House at Kessingland

'House at Kessingland Beach' - Digital Media - George Roberts July 2017

" Lovely walk from Pakefield to Kessingland along the beach. Paddling your toes in the sea, collecting stones and listening to the cries of Little Terns as they twist and turn in  the sky above the shingle - quite perfect."

Muscari

'Muscari'- mixed media - George Roberts July 2018
Muscari is a genus of perennial bulbous plants native to Eurasia that produce spikes of dense, most commonly blue, urn-shaped flowers resembling bunches of grapes in the spring.
The common name for the genus is grape hyacinth (a name which is also used for the related genera Leopoldia and Pseudomuscari, which were formerly included in Muscari), but they should not be confused with hyacinths. Credit: Wikipedia
