'Mutton' The one eared Sheep's Grand European Tour - Day Two

Mutton visits the Zoo and makes some new friends

Mutton was disappointed that she didn't get to see President Obama. She was however, very excited to find that the President's staff and the Press Corps were staying at the same Hotel.

As it was such a lovely morning, Mutton set out early for the island of Djurgarden and in particular 'Skansen' a mixture of; historic theme park, theatre, rural and regional crafts, animal husbandry, forestry, vernacular buildings and a zoo.

Frank Zappa and the Mothers of Invention played on the stage at Skansen, hardly the Fillmore East, but maybe Frank was lured there by the attractions of the Skansen Aquaria.  He was a real sucker for mudshark and preserved minnows.

Our intrepid one eared sheep was much impressed by the Brown Bears, Wolves, Elk and  Reindeers, four species as rare as hens teeth in the Fens of East Anglia. They were probably wiped out by the Bungay Black Shuck!

After an enjoyable lunch of Goats Cheese Salad at the Historika Museum, the afternoon was spent learning about Vikings and gold hoarding, not to be confused with goat herding.

GOLD

Tomorrow and subject to the extraordinary security arrangements being made for President Obama's departure on Air Force One, Mutton will be crated up and flown 'tourist-class' to Berlin.  She is hoping to meet her German cousin 'Berlin Noir', the black sheep of the family.
