There are many things I like about
cats
They make their own space
They are affectionate in their own time
Some are talkers others choose not to
They minimise heat loss from radiators
You can sing to them
They are love permeable
Like me, they sleep a lot
They are warm and dusty
They smell of sunshine with a hint of fish
They share my interest in ornithology
When so inclined they all answer to ‘Kitty’
Unlike dogs they have no shame
And don’t give a shit!
We must get another cat!
